State of the Bee Report

The State of the Bee Report 2025 defines a path for the recognition, protection, and cultivation of wild Honeybees and their habitat.

With research from leading apiculture experts, including Thomas Seeley, the Colony Bees Association’s founding report aligns with international best practices to deliver Australia’s first dedicated resource for wild bee conservation.

The report advances three key recommendations:

  • Wild honeybee conservation
  • Medicinal apiculture
  • Indigenous wisdom and creativity
