Species: Apis spp.

Nest type: Tree hollow

Description: Eucalyptus spp. with a large knot and tree hollow mid way up trunk. Tree shows signs of modifications similar to that of a scar tree. Surrounded by a high density of other Eucalyptus hollow forming trees of a similar age. 

Description: Body shape is consistent with apis species. Further research required to determine sub species. 

Wing venation - further research required 

Temperament - High entrance activity suggesting large hive size

Swarming - Not observed
